You originally worked for City Barbeque in Cincinnati and you now work in Atlanta. What prompted the move?

My husband, David Stockwell, was given the opportunity to open the Sandy Springs store.

What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most?

Working with people.

What three words would you use to describe yourself?

Hard-working, Energetic, Loyal

What three words would you use to describe City Barbeque??

Family-oriented, Fun

If you could switch jobs with anyone else in the company, whose job would you want and why?

N/A

Do you have any hobbies or belong to any groups outside of work? 

Hiking, working out, and traveling.

Do you have a favorite family tradition or one that you want to start? 

We bake Christmas cookies every year. We have not missed a year since my first child was born 25 years ago, and this year we added my grandson!

What is the most important thing you have learned in life?

To make every moment count. Life goes way too fast.

Do you have any tips for others on how to deal with the stressful situations facing the world right now, including COVID-19?

Start each day with a positive attitude. Positivity is contagious.

What is your current role at City Barbeque?

I am currently at the Shift Leader level, hoping to move up soon.

What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most?

I enjoy getting to train people and help them reach their whole potential.

What three words would you use to describe yourself?

Competitive, passionate, driven

What three words would you use to describe City Barbeque?

Demanding, patient, quality, which are three things needed for competitive BBQ.

If you could switch jobs with anyone else in the company, whose job would you want and why?

I wouldn't, that wouldn't be me staying true to myself, since I prefer to earn the job I'm given rather than switch with someone.

Do you have any hobbies or belong to any groups outside of work?

My hobbies are mainly camping - I like the fresh air to clear my head.

Do you have a favorite family tradition or one that you want to start?

My favorite family tradition is where I go camping every Columbus Day weekend in Iowa.

What is the most important thing you have learned in life?

The most important thing I have learned in my life is to choose your battles wisely because not everything has to be a challenge and with the right attitude and mindset going into conflict can change the outcome.

Do you have any tips for others on how to deal with the stressful situations facing the world right now, including COVID-19?

And if I could give 1 piece of advice towards stressful situations is that you just have to take everything day by day because there are so many things you can't control one thing you can is the mindset you take going into every day as a positive one because if you exude positivity then some will also come your way.
