Hear from some of the guests we have served over the last 25 years

Hassan S., Florence, KY

We recently drove home from the Rockies thru Kansas. Everyone said you need to eat KC BBQ so we stopped at a place called Joes. Line out the door we waited we ordered. This is what KC is famous for. It was good but at almost the same time my wife and I said ‘you know City BBQ in Florence Ky is better!!

My fiance and I shared our first date meal at City BBQ and we plan to have our wedding reception catered by City BBQ. We celebrated my fiance’s 50th birthday at City BBQ and it was the first time in a long time that she had all of her kids together for a very special day. THANK YOU CITY BBQ!!!

Cheryl S., Cleveland, GA

I will always think about City BBQ when I think about my first pregnancy. My favorite dessert cravings during that time were always City BBQ banana pudding and chocolate cake! I see a City BBQ 1st birthday in her future.

Vennett J., Frederick, CO

In 2022 my MIL was diagnosed with Leukemia Lymphoma. City BBQ was our last meal together as a family for Thanksgiving with her here. I can't express how much that meant to us that we had the time together because of City BBQ. Now we share every holiday with City BBQ.

One of my favorite memories revolves around the journey back home after years spent in Austin, Texas, savoring the vibrant food scene that the city had to offer. My wife and I had made Austin our home, where we indulged in some of the best barbecue in the country. However, as Covid-19 began to rise, we found ourselves reevaluating our priorities. With a heavy heart but a sense of clarity, we decided to return to Dublin, Ohio, where we felt a deep-rooted connection. The transition was bittersweet, but there was one thing I couldn't shake off: my craving for exceptional barbecue. Upon our return, curiosity led us to City Barbeque. I remember walking through the doors and being greeted by the warm, smoky aroma that instantly transported me back to those Austin days. We placed our order and, with eager anticipation, waited for our meal to arrive. When the food finally came, it was like unearthing a treasure—the perfect brisket, fall-off-the-bone ribs, and generous sides that felt like a warm embrace from home. Taking that first bite of the brisket, I was pleasantly surprised. It was tender, flavorful, and perfectly smoked, rivaling the best we had in Austin. The ribs had that same deliciousness, covered in a tangy sauce that made each bite an explosion of flavor. The large sides were the cherry on top, bringing a comforting familiarity that made our first visit feel like a must-have experience. In that moment, I realized that while Austin had its treasures, City Barbeque held a special place in my heart!

Jane j., Woodstock, GA

One summer, I found myself in Woodstock, Georgia, a small town with a big heart and an even bigger love for BBQ. The air was thick with the smell of smoked ribs and pulled pork as I wandered through the downtown area, following the scent like a compass. I ended up at City BBQ Smokehouse that everyone seemed to be talking about; I struck up conversations with locals, all of us united by the anticipation of something special.

The ribs were tender, the pulled pork rich and smoky, and the sauce—oh, the sauce—was a perfect blend of tangy and sweet, with just a hint of heat. As I ate, I was surrounded by people from all walks of life, sharing stories, laughing, and enjoying the simple pleasure of a good meal.

As the sun began to set, casting a golden hue over the town, the whole scene felt almost magical—a perfect blend of Southern hospitality, great food, and a sense of community. That evening in Woodstock wasn’t just about BBQ; it was about the warmth of the people.

Jeffrey T., Cincinnati, OH

At City Barbeque, I bumped into college friends. We laughed so hard over one friend's attempt to eat a mountain of ribs with a fork and knife, we almost forgot the food. Between the messy hands and hilarious fails, the barbecue became a comedy show we won’t forget!
